The Green Party of the Philippines lauds the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in the strict performance of their duty to protect our people against possible dumping of all wastes, including radioactive wastes such as Phosphogypsum. We call on further vigilance of the PCG to ensure that future attempts will also be stopped. We also call on the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to further investigate this incident and if warranted file collaborate with the Chinese government to ensure than no further attempts happen.
