Greens to closely monitor implementation of new waste to energy guidelines

The Green Party of the Philippines expresses our continued concern over waste-to-energy (WTE) systems. We understand that the DENR has taken steps that the WTE facilities to be piloted soon under this new guidelines follow all the necessary environmental regulations. But we continue to be concern that without strict monitoring these regulations may not be followed and will result to the feared release of toxic materials.
