In an interview, Balanga Bishop Ruperto Santos said his diocese is discouraging the use of plastic flowers as decors in parishes, as well as tarpaulins.
“In our cathedral, we go green. We discourage the use of plastic flowers and decors, but natural plants and flowers. We also set aside tarpaulins,” he said.
“Also our cathedral is no parking zone. This is to encourage our parishioners to walk, and feel free to move around the cathedral,” added Santos.
The Balanga prelate said they also remind parishioners not to litter and to keep everything clean.
